One-to-one pop piano lessons in person, on a C. Bechstein A 124 acoustic piano, in a quiet, air-conditioned studio.
Studio lessons are on a C. Bechstein A 124, a professional German upright from one of the oldest names in piano making. Bechstein has been building pianos since 1853.
To give my students the best possible foundation, I chose an acoustic piano over a digital one. An acoustic piano responds to every change in your touch, so you develop real technique and control. I chose a European piano so my students hear the rich, traditional sound European instruments are known for.
The studio is set up so you can focus on your playing and hear every detail of it.
Reeves is a friendly, helpful and good natured piano teacher who knows how to put his students at ease (even those who play the piano pretty badly - like me 😅).
I appreciate his "learning the fundamentals with a new song of your choosing" approach - keeps the daily piano practice sessions at home fresh and interesting!
As a bonus, if you choose to take in-person lessons at his home studio, you'll get to play an actual Bechstein! (That's pretty cool.)
One of the many reason why I love going to reeves lesson is because of his studio. The studio is so nice and comfortable that you sometimes don't feel like leaving the studio when lesson ends!
The environment is great for learning as there are minimal distractions and Reeves is always friendly to chat with. Highly recommend!! :-)

In-person lessons follow the same format as online: 45 minutes, once a week, one-to-one. Each lesson covers one pop song as a piano solo and one as an accompaniment, with all materials included.
Can't always make it to the studio? Most of my students learn online on Zoom.
