Not at all. All my students are adults, and many of them started as complete beginners. With the right approach and methods, anyone can learn to play.

No, I don't offer trial lessons. Send me a message with your experience level and the songs you'd like to play, and I'll tell you honestly whether my lessons are a good fit.

Both work well. Around 90% of my students learn online on Zoom, which saves travel time and comes with a light-up virtual keyboard, on-screen scores and recorded lesson segments. In-person lessons are at my home studio in Canberra.

Yes. You can switch between online lessons on Zoom and in-person lessons at my home studio in Canberra.

No. I teach pop piano only, so I don't prepare students for graded exams.

Yes. Around 90% of my students learn online, and I've spent the last five years refining my online setup. Some students even find online lessons more productive than in-person ones.

Either is fine. Place it in front of you to watch my stream, the keyboard and the scores.

No, your phone is enough. Place it at the side of your keyboard so I can see your fingers.

No. A free Zoom account is all you need to join my lessons.

A 61-key keyboard is a good start for beginners. As you progress, you can upgrade to an 88-key keyboard.

No. I share the scores on screen during the lesson, and send you the same PDF on WhatsApp so you can keep it and practise from it.

Yes. I send you recorded segments of the lesson right after it ends, so you can practise with them during the week.

Yes, I teach students overseas too. Lessons are scheduled in Singapore time (GMT+8), and we can work out a time that suits your time zone.

Yes. On top of the 45-minute lesson each week, you get video lessons and support outside lesson time.

Weekly lessons keep your progress consistent, and I plan every lesson individually for each student. I don't offer fortnightly or ad hoc lessons.

Lessons are never forfeited. A cancelled lesson can be rescheduled to another slot, kept as a make-up credit, or replaced with a video lesson. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you'll get a video lesson instead.

If you stop lessons with notice, your make-up credits stay valid for 90 days. After that, they're given as video lessons.

I've seen students forced to quit when their fees went up, so I charge everyone a fair, constant rate that doesn't increase.

No. There's no registration fee or deposit, and all materials are included. You only pay the lesson fees.

No, there's no minimum commitment. If you need to pause or stop, just give me one month's notice.

Fees are due on the 1st of each month. Fees aren't refundable, except when I'm unable to teach a lesson.

I teach from my home studio and run everything myself, so your fees don't have to cover rent, a landlord or administrative staff. Those savings go straight back to my students as a better rate.
