WHAT IS THE RATIONALE BEHIND HAVING ONLINE LESSONS?
The elimination of travel time is particularly beneficial. As all my students are adults with busy schedules, one of the main challenges they encounter when attending lessons with me is the time spent on transportation. Even for those residing in the same area as myself, which is Woodlands, it takes a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes to commute, especially for students who do not have their own means of transportation.
ARE ONLINE LESSONS LESS EFFECTIVE?
The efficiency of online lessons depends on how the teacher has arranged their setup. Some piano teachers simply rely on a phone or webcam placed next to their instrument, which greatly reduce effectiveness. To make sure that my online lessons are as effective as in person lesson, I have devoted considerable time and resources to on my online setup. Some of my students have even commented that my online lessons are more productive compared to in-person sessions.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR ONLINE LESSON AND OTHER TEACHERS?
Based on my research and the input I've received from fellow students, it appears that numerous piano teachers utilize either a phone or a webcam to demonstrate their playing techniques. In my case, I employ seven different applications and utilize two cameras for my online lessons, demonstrating my commitment by investing a significant amount of money to ensure the effectiveness of my teaching sessions.
